PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

SARS-Related Coronavirus 2 Lineage P2_2021; Zeta Variant (Isolate: USA/NY-Wadsworth-21006055-01/2021 is an enveloped, positive-sense single-stranded RNA virus from the Coronaviridae family and the Betacoronaviridae genus.

SARS-CoV-2 isolate USA/NY-Wadsworth-21006055- 01/2021 was collected in January 2021 in New York, USA. Under the nomenclature system introduced by GISAID (Global Initiative on Sharing All Influenza Data), SARS-CoV-2, isolate USA/NY-Wadsworth-21006055- 01/2021 is assigned lineage P2. It was labelled as Zeta variant by the World Health Organization (WHO). The complete genome of SARS-CoV-2, isolate USA/NYWadsworth-21006055-01/2021 has been sequenced (GISAID: EPI_ISL_854386).

Each frozen aliquot contains 1 mL of UV inactivated, clarified viral culture fluid. The pre-inactivation titer was determined from an infectious aliquot.

Viral inactivation is verified after UV inactivation by the absence of viral growth in tissue culture-based infectivity assays.
